weight issue for double vision owners
I just completed setting up my double vision. I used a DA50 with a header and canister set from Chief aircraft.
My issue with the plane is the weight. As advertised it suggests it will weight approx. 15lbs.
I know Chip did but no longer advertises weight on his site know, and I'm wonder if this is the reason why.
This would give a wing loading of approx. 21.6 oz per sq. foot.
I followed the instruction used all the recommended equipment, and paid close attention to weight.
So after finial set up it weights just a little under 18lbs. Ouch, not what I was expecting.
I know have a 3D plane that weight 25.5 to 25.9 oz per square foot.
It looks like the wing load is starting to get a little high for a 3D flying. I'm used to Fontana 90 around 19 to 20 oz per sq foot.
1st what does yours weight?
2nd if it is coming in heaver than advertised how does it fly? Does the extra weight effect the
3D capabality?
