RE: a few questions
As I statedTT46 great choice\\
accerelation I would say same as a well tuned 4 strk Must be on they use them in 3D
mount it sideways and no fuel builds up in crankcase goodby sputtering Modern 2 strokes far better for this than the "classics"
Diesel much more efficent about twice the run time on same size tank as glow
maintance next to 0-- I use davis fuels since no nitro or alcohol I have NEVER used after run oil in them kero prevents rust
and of course no glow plugs
by adjusting compression less for bigger props more for smaller ones easy to time engine for prop no adding or removing head shims
right heat glow plug what nitro% to run etc etc
diesels do put out more power a 40 diesel conversion equiv to a 60 on glow (davis has proved this for at least
the last 25 years)
speed is relative you do have high speed racing classes in control line 15s come to mind big in UK and Europe
FUEL you can buy Davis mixes for about $20 a gallon but remember will run as long as 2 gallons of glow at$11 or more
they do not run on pump diesel the large diesel uses injectors running very high pop off pressures in excess of 1000PSI to mist the fuel into the cylinders My thoughts on fuel mixing risky buy it available in all of USA from Davis and Tower martin
