Hi Dave. Disregard those people. Your better off going 8th scale than 10th scale buggy. They are more durable and have a wider range of parts availability. Ofna has the LX Comp which is $300. http://www.ofna.com/ultralxcomp.html . It's really rugged, fast out of the box, and great for just beating around the house. I have the Hot Bodies Lightning RTR 1. It may not be as fast as the LX Comp, but it's also a pretty decent RTR. Craving a bit more speed out of the box, you'd probably want the LX Comp. It's just as complete as the HB RTR.
