Piper pointed out some things you should really have, and some you should consider.

I for one don't bother with the power panel and separate 12 volt battery. I have a starter with self contained battery, same with the glow ignitor, and a manual fuel pump. That way I don't have all sorts of cords hanging around the prop.

I also use a large plastic tool box from Wallmart (about $15) as a field box. Works well and costs a lot less than those "flight boxes" that you have to build and paint.
