Dyed kero is ok, what I had was red. I've used it and most anything else identified as kerosene - including k-1, Jet A, the dyed Kero and just paln kerosene (that's all the drum said), also Kleen Strip Kero from Home Depot, etc. If it's identified as kerosene, it'll work. The only difference between K-1 and K-2 is mostly the sulfer content and we're talking pretty small numbers. The additives in Jet A, Jet A-1, JP-8 and JP-5 are larger percentages than the sulfer and they've all been used sucessfuly in our engines. I would use it and the price is hard to beat these days.
