Nony , your right the ni-cad won't do it but a regular D-cell worked once I let the RPM come down. I never could get the engine above 100 degrees cent. It was right on the edge of fuel ramp but woould not go beyond that and the starter battery finally gave out after trying to push the RPMs up to speed. I think my starter batt. isn't gutsy enough. It's the only one I could find at 9.6 volts but they are AA cells.A six cell car pack is only 7.2 volts so once again I'm a dollar short! Doug
