Default RE: Transforming the Hyper 8 port into a tunable competitive engine??

ORIGINAL: had enough

Step-1 run the 8-port engine until it's dead
Step-2 buy a good engine like a Nova Rossi
Step-3 live happily ever after
LMAO !!! aaah scale !!

Seriously if you really wanna get your engine to run hard this is what you do.

Vented Fly wheel aluminium, bergonzoni make an awesome one !!
13 t Clutch bell with 1.1 springs
Rossi carb
nova race pro head ( your gonna need it )
Short header + 086 pipe ( novarossi )
30 % nitro 11 to 12 % synthetic
Cut .8 MM from the bottom lip of the exhaust port
Cut .3 mm from the top
Grind out your header lip to be flush to avoid any extraneous current.
Cut 1.2 mm from right side of inlet port on crank ( smoothe over left side )
Rout and smooth tear drop on crank
sharpen leading edge of crank counter to 35 Deg
Cut 2 notches into front trailing edge on crank approx 3.5 mm in width
All ceramic front and rear bearings or hybrid ( will need it cranks over heat in Hypers.. )
MC 59 plug
champfer bottom edge on sleeve infront of front port...

this set up should give you about 85% of the power of a stock P5

and cost about twice as much but it would be fun !! BTW the engine as set up here with care should last you 1.5 to 2 gallons ..
