RE: Best Scale Kit ?
Europe has no weight or size restrictions on their RC models. I know that
some have built full size rc models of real aircraft. One that comes to mind in
particular is the little bipe, I think it was called the "Flea". I saw it in
Oskosh in 2002. It has a WS of about 8 ft, or so.
The largest scale model that I have seen in the US was pictures of
an 80% Staudacher. He was using a 4 cylinder Zenoah, I think (ultralight
size) engine. I don't know if he ever flew it.
I use the term full size when speaking of "real" aircraft to RC
pilots to clarify between RC & full size aircraft.
Boy, that's tricky![X(]
I would think that anyone building a 1:1 scale RC model
would have to build from plans. I don't think anyone sells
kits for these. I would think the liablilty alone would stop
someone from marketing it. There won't be many planes
small enought to build a 1:1 RC model. Most will be too
large...
I'm not sure that I helped!!!
