Heres a good tip for you guys who are out in the cold. You can make starting a whole lot easier by taking an ordinary hair dryer and holding the tip straight down the engine head and onto the glowplug (without the glow starter in) for about 10-20 seconds. Then put the glow starter in and starting up your truck should be a whole lot easier, especially if you have a low heat glowplug.
