Heres a good tip for you guys who are out in the cold. You can make starting a whole lot easier by taking an ordinary hair dryer and holding the tip straight down the engine head and onto the glowplug (without the glow starter in) for about 10-20 seconds. Then put the glow starter in and starting up your truck should be a whole lot easier, especially if you have a low heat glowplug.

Yes, a heat gun is actually what I use. The majority of people probably do not have a heatgun lying around their house so I said Hair Dryer. I do not recommend it, but it is possible to heat the engine up to a point where you can start it without the glow starter, again, it is probably very hard on the engine so I do NOT recommend it. Another trick if you don't have a hair dryer is to take rag/towel and one of those instant heat bags that you break and they heat up real fast and cover the engine with it for a little while and then start it. If it's so cold that you can't start your engine at all, then it's prolly a bad idea to run your car in that weather, seeing as how plastic parts break much easier in cold weather

[X(] A heat gun?.. MAn that thing is hot ... the heat buildup from the gun to the motor will push fuel back to the tank. And you'll have to prime the motor again :P.
Just remeber not to prime first then lol.
