Default RE: New!OTOP Xtreme Composite Pattern Plane

ORIGINAL: Dauphin
The model is fixable and will be flying again shortly, the reason for braking is still uncertain, the brake has come about a fatigue point in the body about 20cm in front of the tail. This fatigue at this time I believe has come from damage in transit from Thailand the Australia as the box that the fusalage was in was damaged.

When opened the box the model looked OK from the outside so I quickly finished the model and flew it. At the time it had only had 16 flights.

I must say Xtreme Composites have been very good in helping me out in trying to sought out want has happened so other people do not have this happen to them.
Composite built model out of Thailand, failure just in front of the tail, from photos construction/moulding looks very Impact like, wing adjusters but no other brace other than the pipe floor, failure on flight 16 in 'standard' flight, factory keen to help . . . my Impact did the same thing - just on flight 19!

It may be transit fatigue (and I sincerely hope it is!), but I would suggest it is worth reviewing the whole Impact experience and their public findings (see Impact threads to get to the C-ARF UK site with their full commentary) before putting it back in the air and risking further equipment damage.
