As a rule, I run all my engines from the beginning with the mixture, oil ratio, prop, and rpm the same as I will be running them a year or two from now. They still all run as well or better than they did out of the box.
Gassers don't have trapered cylinders and/or rough machine work as most of the glow engine do. Nor are so many of the metals used as mis-matched, forcing extra care during the first few tanks of gas.
Mount it, set the mixture needles, forget about it, and go fly!
