Received word back from CMP and the group buy thing is a no-go. I was afraid I would be directed to deal with GSP directly, something Im not inclined to do based on all the negative publicity about them. Following is the email I received from CMP:

"Dear Mr. Dickerson,

The P-40 will be avilable in the US by the end of April through Hobbies & Helis International.
You may visit www.giantscaleplanes.com for more details.

I am afraid that we are not able to sell direct. Currently we already have 3 distributors in the US and we do not prepare to increase the number of them yet.

Thanks again for your time. I will send the photos of P-40 to you once available.

The four CMP ARFs I currently have were bought either from Jet Hobbies or Raiden Tech, both of which had excellent turn around. In talking to Raiden Tech, I have discovered they are about 30 minutes from me in El Monte, CA. If everyone here is inclined to do so, I could approach them about the group buy with a discount and ship them direct from here, probably via FEDEX ground which has shown to be the cheapest (and most reliable) shipper. If this is agreeable, let me know and Ill get in direct contact with Raiden Tech...

p.s. the CMP planes you see being auctioned on RCU are from Raiden Tech. one way or another, I WILL get one of those new P-40s
