For those of you who say you cant turbo charge a two stroke engine why did the old 2 stroke tractors and transfer trucks have them? I know that is a whole diff ball game, but the fact is you can supercharge a 2 stroke! The 871 blower that is used on several cars today was origonaly developed for a 2 stroke diesel! Just some food for thought and I might just be an idiot so feel free to tell me if I am!
OK, you can turbo and supercharge a 2 stroke (petrol or nitro). So I agree with you. Also look at the Hyper 21, it has a turbofan built into it, right enough it works more like a direct drive supercharger, but in a way the whole H21 is just a turbo unit. I know people are so closed of mind/uneducated that they won't understand what I mean by that but when installed the rear of the crankshaft and the fan ace create a compressor (essetially a turbo) to increase the air to fuel mix. Unfortunately all this does is compensate for the bad leak the back plate has, so there is no power gain.
Nitro Supercharers do work on our engines but the gains dont produce enough power to compensate for the extra drag on the flywheel, theyre not race legal and they cut down run times/tank.
So in my opinion Superchargers are not worth in on 3.5cc engines. Now on a Chevvy Short block, mmmmm nice.
