A heat gun works best for me. You have to experiment with the gun (or iron) to find the correct temperature to shrink the coating. It varies from manufacturer to MFR. Monokote, which is what is probablly on your tower trainer, will require a lot of heat. Ultracoat, on the other hand, shrinks up with noticeably less heat. Some of the no name coverings out there will just about melt before they'll shrink any more.
