I put T-Maxx size shocks on my MT2 and the extra length and travel of the shock would make the dogbones bind at the diffs, especially when fully extended. I took the shocks apart and put a small piece of fuel tubing over the shock shaft, put it back into the shock body and put another small piece of fuel tubing over the outside of the shaft. It took awhile to figure out the exact length of tubing required but when finished the shock travel stops just before binding when the shock is fully extended or compressed. I found out later that the rubber spacer/o-ring was missing from the diff cups and this contributed to the binding problem. Make sure the spacers are in before making adjustments to the travel.
