we used fromeco packs in our review model. Heavy duty extensions from cermark and Hobbico. You could go li-ion or nimh. We used single packs for our test flights (li-ion) but I will likely add a 2nd pack for redundancy before flying this spring. Options are to use the dual switches with the 2 packs or something like the "batshare" device from smart-fly. The batshare will let you run 2 separate size packs into one receiver. The device pulls from the pack with the highest voltage. This gives you redundancy and increased capacity.
http://www.smart-fly.com Since I have an extra 1900 pack or possibly 2800 li-ion pack sitting on the bench I might try the batshare on this plane for the redundancy. Just another solution for dual pack setups.
DA100 for power. You'll love the combo. Plenty of power and won't leave you wanting for more.
