RE: G26 & electronic ignition
I run exclusively electronic ignitions because I can't stand the weight of the magneto.
However, I help people start magneto ignition engines all the time. 99% of the time the starting problem is just that they don't know how to start
a magneto ignition engine. G26's are very easy to start with the magneto.
Do you understand the necessary relationship of prop position to coil magnets necessary to start a magneto ignition? If not, find someone at your
field who does to walk you through it and you'll be able to hand-start your G26 every time, just as easily as if it were equipped with an electronic ignition.
