Based on your original comment, there's NO downgrade if a retracted gear comes out of its retract position in flight (one gear isn't locked and
comes down).
If anything FALLS OFF the plane in flight, AND THE JUDGES SEE IT, that's different. In AMA pattern, the pilot is told to land. The remaining maneuvers including the one just performed in which the infraction occured, get zeroes.
In F3A, the flight is zeroed. Consider that for a moment: I've sat the chair before where an excellent flight got zeroed because the tail wheel departed upon landing. Oh well, such is life and the FAI Regs

I am talking about the in-flight movement of the retract that affect all classes. anything (wheel, canopy etc) dropping during the flight.
