Hold the flywheel with a large pair of channel locks either around the magnet or around the counterbalance, turn the nut counter clockwise. it is a 5/16 - 24 thread.

after you have the nut off you can tap the flywheel and it will pop off, you may have to pry gently on one or two sides with a screwdriver while you tap.
