OK I have made some progress. I lowered my screen resolution from 1024x768 to 640x480 and moved my sound card out of the slot right next to the graphics card and the locking up has improved. Now it only locks up if I get the plane in close, I mean real close. My frame speed has jumped from 50FPS to 180FPS and I cant really tell the difference in the screen quality at a lower screen resolution its very good either way.

Also, there is something weird I didnt notice on my old computer. The stripe that runs down the far side of the runway is flickering, its not solid. If you let the plane sit on the runway it will eventually get still, but its sortof like a ripple on water, it flickers as the plane is moving but it slowly comes to a stop as the screen gets completely still.. Weird.
