newb--
dont't get too confident in that spinner. One of the first things that happened to me (I was getting ready to fly for maybe the 10th time after solo) was my prop came off. It was a three blade prop that comes on the evolution trainer engine. Anyway, it had a plastic spinner. The whole thing went flying off as my brother carried it out to the runway. Good thing no one was in front of it. I've also seen two (one was mine) spinners literally explode during an engine run-up. These were both on saito 100's, so there's quite a bit more torque there than your trainer's engine, but be aware.

Just want you to still be cautious around those props. Never be in front of one unless it is absolute necessary, and then for only as long as you have to. I do all of my tach'ing from behind the motor. As soon as it's started, I point it away from me. I like my hands just the way they are!
