Well I have considered the Shogun, but for some reason it just never seemed all that appealing to me. I guess it is in the same class as the T-Rex though. I'll start looking into the shogun a bit more. I guess I need to go to the LHS and look at both kits side by side as well.

I am certainly not 1 that cares a bit about bling. For me it's form always follows function and always will be. So if that's the main reason for the eCCPM mod then it's not worth it to me for sure.

I intend to go brushless and li-po on any electric heli I might get, anything else I'm sure will disappoint me. I really like the brushless/li-po combo on my 3D fixed wing park flyer. No doubt setup is a major factor. I don't mind spending lots of time getting it right, I spent many hours getting my R50 setup properly especially on the pushrods and ball links and was rewarded with a great flying heli from the start. On the first flight the blades were in track, trim was right on and control response was very good. I expect I'd have to do the same on any heli.
