I have been reading all of the threads on this site for the past few days. As I waited for my kit to make the long trip from Chief's Aircraft, I was wondering if my kit will have as many defects as many of you have experienced. I wasted no time in taking everything out of the box for a complete inspection. Overall things looked pretty good. Wing tube very tight but can work thru this. Canopy does not match the rest of the fuse. It is darker but no big deal. One real concern is the covering in front of the vertical stab. It has rather large wrinkles in front and the sides of the stab. It appears some wood is missing on the right side in the fuse. Has anyone else had this problem.

I am attaching a couple of photo's and hope you can see what I am talking about. I can email a photo if anyone needs to have a better look.
