I am using a friends. I called C&H Electronics and they said that I could exchange it for the Boush stlye ignition for $12.95 + shipping since it was a brand new engine. Yes I did ground the shield. The only thing that might have caused my problem besides the spark plug cap was that the original spark plug cap was touching the cowling. This might have been causing a arch were it was touching.
