RE: More ATX Problems
well what can i say about the atx ?
well i got mine back in January and first if all it had a habit of breaking the stub axle in the hub both front and rear my friends mt2 was doing the same parts as well
then it moved on to diff cups these were breaking after quite minor jumps again mt2 was doing the same so we came to the conclusion it was just the factory fitted parts causing trouble now the cups and axles have been replaced we have had no more problems.touch wood
now I'm not here to drag the good name of cen and atx through the mud i want to thank cen for making a great product
and give everyone reading this a good laugh
last week i took my atx and my mate took his Genesis round another friends to show them off. me being brave and more experienced with r/c models decided to play next to the river ( see where i'm going with this ) .
well to cut to the chase after a small jump and a badly placed stone the atx ended upside down with one wheel just visible under the surface of the river .
well i thought i had killed the poor beast but after removing the air filter and glow plug and getting rid of the water the engine fired up first pull !!!!!!!!!!
the battery box was damp inside but not full of water but still the receiver didn't want to play so after a night pulled apart and in a warm cupboard a quick retest showed everything had dried out !!!!!!
and less than 24 hours after sinking to the bottom of a river my atx was up and running again
so thank you again cen for designing a car suitable for bad drivers like me
one more thing 4 of us have cars my atx an mt2, a genesis and my other friend has just got a revo this week does anyone have any quick easy and inexpensive ideas to help me keep ahead of these guys when racing both on road and off road ?
