You are right about the "Accell Katana". Mike from OMP helped accell sort out some issues on the plane to help get it up to par with the OMP profiles way back. OMP were the ones that really got the Accell Katana out there for everyone in the US. They started off on Ebay but that was still the bad quality ones so it didn't last very long. OMP got the quality of the birds up and started distributing them. But now lately Accell decided to sell them themselves so it is the same plane yes. And OMP still sells them.

As far as scale .40 sized planes for 3D? Well that is going to be impossible IMHO. All the 3D .40 sized birds are not even 60% scale even though some of the resemble a full size plane. But then also we have all discovered that profiles are by far the best 3D planes in the .40 sized catagory. And yes any of the OMP profiles will definitely more than fit the bill. Morris hobbies also make some really great models which perform great!
