In reference to the high cost of spinners, recently our club had a open house at our new flying field. A full size restored 1947 J-3 had flown in for the occasion. Yes we do have a LARGE flying field with two runways to booth. I noticed a 6" spinner on the J-3 and asked the pilot and owner of the plane what he paid for the spinner. He said he paid about $40.00 new. Just goes to show you when you buy parts for this hobby you will pay highly inflated prices. A $130 for a 4" spinner is highway robbery. Those guys at Tru-Turn in Texas are living large.
