Here's an inexpensive, light weight pushrod for the elevators on Patty. It is an aluminum "stand off" that is tapped for 4-40 threads, you can use 1" studs on each with a jamb nut, then ball links.

I used the 2-1/2" length of all-thread, that I already had cut to size, to set up the elevators, then screwed the "stand off" over it with a jamb nut on each end.

I purchased them from www.mcmaster.com. they come in sizes from 3/4" through 2" with 4-40 threads. The 1-1/4" sizes cost $1.12 each, and are just the right size.

Someone here on RCUniverse recommended them to me for finding the bolts I needed to mount my engine. They seem to have just about every fastener and size I could ever want.
