Good choices on everything. I have the 40 LA now that it is tuned i couldn't ask for a better engine. It is just right for my plane.

Do the velcro thing for the RX and RX battery, i do it for mine and have gone through TONS of loops and other high g manuevers. oncluding diving spins.

Also, the field box looks fine, but you honestly don't need all of that yet, but it would be good to by it now rather than waiting.

Realflight is awsome! My instructor let me borrow his and helped so much. I put a four stroke 56 on that pt-40 to help it out a bit..
