Creation Completed
Ok everybody......just finished construction and CG'd tonight. Here's my setup. Moki 2.1 with Brisson muffler, 24 oz. Sullivan fuel tank, TME smoke pump w/16 oz smoke oil tank. Two 1400 Ma battery packs, Pull-Pull center fuse mounted on the servo tray with a 5945 Hitec, tail mounted 5645 Hitech's for the elevators, and a 425BB Hitec for the throttle. The wings are 5925 Hitech's for that extra holding power. Overall weight with a 20X8 and the crappy spinner from the kit (Dave Brown hasn't shown up yet) 15 lbs 11 oz. This is one beautiful kit. great planes did a very good job.
Question time!
Now......I have tried to measure my CG at the interior part of the wing at the fuse and I'm at 6 3/8" from the leading edge. I know you are supposed to check CG at the wingtips, but I'm using my CG machine. I laid out the wings with the wing tube installed and ran a string from each wingtip at the recommended CG point. I marked the intersection of the string and the wing root which would indicate the proper CG at the interior point. Has anybody else tried to do this? If so, what did your CG point measure at?
