I have an ultra mbx comp I like the buggy but if I had it to do over with I would have bought a mayhem because the force .26 is junk in my opinion but my friends .26 runs great. The reason I say I would have gotten a mayhem if I had it to do over with is because after replacing the junk engine and buying a starter box I have more in it than if I would have bought a mayhem if you look you can find the mayhem rtr for around $450 to $500 and I have more than that in my mbx. Just to let you know if you buy the mbx make sure you take the engine off and loctite the screws that hold the starter on the engine otherwise they will have fallen out before the motor gets broken in (i know from experience) also just make sure you loctite all screws going into metal. Just my opinion get him a mayhem better engine and controller you dont have to do anything to it.
