Default Biela Props

X300Pilot,

Yes, I did get a chance to put in one flight with Biela 22x10. It is a beautiful prop, made in Poland and factory balanced to perfection. I got many complements for that prop at the field. Granted my BME 50 has only had three tanks of gas through it, it seemed to work harder with the Biela prop. It turned 6,000 with the Biela and 6,850 with 22x8 Pro Zinger. It takes a little longer for the engine to spool out with Biela, but pulls very strongly. The prop weights 145 grams vs. Pro Zinger only 90 grams. The plane definitely flew faster with the Biela and breaking was very efficient when the throttle was cut with the characteristic 'woosh' sound of the fast air hitting the slowed-down prop. Landing was a little hot, but that would be true for any 10 pitch prop. Idle was lower and more stable on the Biela vs. Pro Zinger. Well, decide for yourselves.

If anybody wants it, I would be willing to part with my Biela (drilled to 7/16") as I am going to stay in the 8 pitch props for my plane/engine combo.
