fancman, yes I can see the plastic push rod end on the choke and the engine throttle has a nylon control arm, so you don't have direct metal to metal contacts. My question is will the metal control rods act like antennae and pickup and transmit RFI? I don't know the answer since I'm not an electrical engineer. Can anyone out there put this question to bed?

PS: Since I don't know the answer, I'll stick to non conductive control rods.
