as I said that spot is shared between ads sometimes and our own internal RCU information/news and sometimes it will be only news/info and at other times maybe only ads.
Either way it is an AD in the MIDDLE of the forum.

Fact is also that any changes provoke discontent. I've changed colors here on RCU and people complained. I've added stuff and people complain. I've removed stuff and people complain. Any change is always going to provoke dissatisfaction. It is a guarantee.
This is the same thing that was said last time the middle of the page ads were tried. It may be that people just don't like them in the middle of the page, regardless of how it is spun.
Don't get me wrong Marc, you have a great site that you have worked hard to build. But, re-introducing things that the users don't like, just because you want it that way, won't help your site, whether it is the "rate the post" or ads in the middle of the page.
We realize that you make your money off advertising, and yes I will click on some at the top of the page...but the middle of the page break is annoying, and I for one won't be clicking on anything in that location.
