I was there ( At 2002 TOC) to see that 70% edge and all I can say is WOW, The owner says he has a multimillion dollar insurance policy for the thing and cant fly it without droping 5 grand down (yes thats 5 thousand), The prop cost him 7 thousand alone!! 65 hp engine, servos have over 5 ft lbs of tourqe and it weighs about 3 hundred pounds (if memory serves me right) all this and he uses robart hinges 'alot of em'- He has a total of right about 70 thousand into it- heck for that I would of built a full scale (or at least had a good start).

I don't know who told you what, but no way this thing cost $70,000.00 It is merely an Ultralight without a pilot. Very nicely done mind you. He might me counting the hours he put in, which we don't when building our own airplane
An ultraligh engine and prop, not a $7000.00 prop. The servos are about $500.00/ea (Seiko)
$5000.00 a flight?, this is not the space shuttle.
