I don't know who told you what, but no way this thing cost $70,000.00 It is merely an Ultralight without a pilot. Very nicely done mind you. He might me counting the hours he put in, which we don't when building our own airplane

An ultraligh engine and prop, not a $7000.00 prop. The servos are about $500.00/ea (Seiko)

$5000.00 a flight?, this is not the space shuttle.
