My flap travel is approximately 3/4". The elevator down isn't much, but I set it by setting manually with the trim tab when I first lowered the flap. Afterward, I programmed that amount into the elevator. Also, I didn't use the knob on my transmitter, but used the gear switch instead. The plus is it's easy to operate, but the minus is an "all or nothing" flap deployment.

Regarding speed, I come in with some power, maybe 1/4 up or so, until over the runway about 5 -6 feet high and then cut to idle.
The plane has a good sink rate and lands easily.
