RE: Cheap SU-27 pusher Conversion to Brushless
The combo I'm using was intended for a Concrusher except the Concrusher uses a TP 3S 2100 rated at 12C. I'm using a Kokam 3S 910 that is rated at 15C so I think I'll be ok. I dont plan on doing a lot of full throttle as it would probably fly beyond the capabilities of the wing. If you've ever seen a Concrusher on a Himax 2025-5300, TP3S1P 2100, CC25, and GWS 3x3 prop direct drive...it's a sight to see. It was clocked at over 105 mph on a level pass. Those weigh in at 14 oz. while this SU27 only weighs 9.5 oz. You know the saying...Even a brick can fly if you give it enough power. Well, this "Toy" has plenty of power. According to my electric motor calculator, this setup will produce 19.9 oz. static thrust and 8 oz. of in flight thrust. Today, I will just chuck it and see.
Oh, and yes, those are rods from my SU27 Shock flyer...Good eye!! I tried to get a set but couldn't find any so I just barrowed them from my Shock Flyer. I bought a set of rods but will have to apoxy the fittings in the future.
