RE: OS 32 SX-H .. will it be enough for my first S.P.A.D ??
Hey, I finished a trainer (Coro) that is about the same measurments and weight. I mounted an O.S. 40 and it does fly, but it takes a long runway and must be pavement of some sort. won't take off in the grass or gravel. it was quite an amazing site to see it finally take to the air. It weighs 6.5 lb.
The plans called for a .40-.46, I ordered a .46 to switch out the .40 with. I get it off the ground and hand it over to my son (13 yrs.) and he is able to fly it fine. had a the engine quit on the first flight about 50ft. up, and it came in like the spaceshuttle and we had a perfect landing without hardly touching the stick.
waiting for my new engine...patiently.
thanks
