Yeah, Ive flown my 9oz extra 300(built for outdoors) and it flys great.
I've also flown my 7oz gen2 F3A, which is good for indoors and outdoor flying.
I flew a 5oz gen2 Yak, and while its certainly a nice flying plane, There was one thing I just couldnt get past.... It had some pretty ferocious aileron/rudder coupling that made it kinda difficult to do flat rudder turns. Kept wanting to roll on me.
I also flew a gen1 5oz extra. That plane flys NICE. Even flat rudder turns, really sharp plane. Nice stall turns, and wild outside loops. Slow speed harriers were gorgeous. It just crawled.
I flew a 5oz gen1 edge, its almost exactly like the extra.
Im hoping my new gen1 superstar will fly like the extra. Its alot smaller, and light as a feather. I know one thing, there's still not any plane out there that Ive seen that can top a shocky for easy indoor 3D flight when they are built under 6oz.

So anybody know what the actual weight of the kit is? Foam and all supplied gear?
I havent weighed it, but I figure all up weight with the battery will probably be right at 5oz. Which is EXTREMELY light for a 31.5" wingspan plane with 225 sq.in. of wing area.
Not sure about that Yak you were flying mine hardly need aileron to do a flat turn right side up of inverted
