I have a tt-01 that i use for drifting and the stock 540 motor is fine. If you were going to upgrade the motor though I would suggest a p2k2 it gives you a goos combination of torque and rpm for drifting. As for tires I'm using the yokomo drift tires but i hear that using pvc pipe is the best thing.
