I have a tt-01 that i use for drifting and the stock 540 motor is fine. If you were going to upgrade the motor though I would suggest a p2k2 it gives you a goos combination of torque and rpm for drifting. As for tires I'm using the yokomo drift tires but i hear that using pvc pipe is the best thing.

ABS tires work best.

Any ESC can use a 27T motor to my knowledge, unless you have one made back in the 70's. [&o]

I recommend the monster stock pro myself, it packs more rmp for the straights.

All of the above are 27T stock class motors that will work with any ESC. [8D]

i am probally going to get a reedy quad mag for drifting because for one they aren't to fast and second me and my friend drift his car with a 19t all the time and the 19t works better for drifting then his p2k2 which we found somewhat strange but it did
good luck

^^^ Proven wrong. I am the "friend" that nitro drives with. I drift an xxx-s...and its a blast Ive got some CNR drift wheels- and i drift now with a p2k2...I realized today- on a closed, tight track that a 19t is waaay too much power for drifting. A p2k2 or MVP Stocker runs better for drifting honestly. The p2k2 also got me first place ina little race with some locals

But...a good, serious drifter only needs 15-20 mph to keep up a nice session...a 19t hits mid 30's and why waste all that power when u can switch to a p2k2 and use it all? Dont flame me for saying its too much power...its opinion- not fact...
