If you mean videos on a site that others can watch/download then usually they are in Windows Media Format or wmv.
With Studio 9 you can play with the frame rates when it comes to "Make Movie" time for higher or lower quality.
My stuff is all wmv except for whatever I plan to burn into a DVD movie. I save those in MPEG format for later in addition to the wmv streaming videos.
