I grabbed a rifle and was about to blow that bird away, but then I realized that I would shoot a hole in the hangar roof or door, not a good idea when it rains. Keep away from guns when you are angry, is all I can say.

When I lived on a farm as a kid, the old farmers use to say that it was OK to shoot a bird under a tin roof because the bullet or shot would make a hole with the edges neatly turned up and no water would ever come in. Must of worked because our barn roof was full of holes before we ever moved in and it didn't leak.

I'd have plugged that damn bird - but your hanger mates in the next stall may not have appreciated it...

That's news to me! You learn something new every day!
The problem is, yeah, neighbors...the guy next to me has a Westland Scout helicopter and a Tiger Moth in there, I like to stay friendly with him, not only because I like Tiger Moth rides, but also because he has some sealed olive drab cases in a corner of the hangar marked "South African Air Force" that look suspiciously like rocket pods. Nice guy, but I would not want to hole his hangar wall. That, and I might lose my security deposit on the hangar...
