I flew a Jet Hangar A-4 into a flock of pigeons at 130 mph.It took out 2 or 3 birds before rolling on it's back and into the deck!! I never had a chance to cut throttle. The only piece left was the fan unit. It looked like a major airline dissaster. DB

That's too cool...I have heard of sailplanes having it out with hawks and such, but never heard of a jet hitting pigeons. Worth it just to have that story...

The best and easiest thing I've found to remove moderately sized birds from an area where they're not wanted is a tennis racket. [>:]

I got rid of a Canadian Goose with a Piper T-1040 once...and a seagull with a Cessna 207.

For you guys with Hornet/Wasp problems: Once you get the nest cleaned up and all the flyers killed, take some white vinegar and treat/scrub the entire area around the nest site. This will break up the pheromone they use to find their nest sites. If you see a nest in the same place again after that it is coincidence.

P.-

Nope, just a relatively new RCU user who is off work after heart bypass surgery, and perusing all the topics in the forum. Have had good luck with the TRM (tennis racquet method) and thought I'd pass it along.

sounds like a blowgun or pellet gun is in order. Can't have them birds wrecking your jets. Thats just not cool.
