Default RE: Diablotin Super FG Questions

i have the dioblotin super fg too and you are right the instructions are a joke...for those that want an idea, most arf's come with a set of instructions with roughly 20-30 pages, well the instructions with this arf was 1 1/2 pages....that's not a misprint, you don't even get 2 pages of instruction.

I called espiritmodels about it and asked if there was an updated set and whomever i spoke too said it was a pretty straight forward assembly....i wanted to say you gotta be kidding me but i wanted at least for him to answer me how the wings were supposed to fasten onto the fuselage, because it certainly wasn't in the instructions.....and here was the answer....there are 2 small hooks with the kit (mine came with 2 different sizes), apperently you are supposed to screw one hook for each wing from the inside of the fuse into the wing, then use a rubber band to join the 2 hooks to stop the wing seperating from the fuse....if that sounds odd you really should look at the instructions.

There is a wing tube near the LE i'm not exactly what to do at the TE since the instructions say absolutely nothing about what to do.

Choppedlow I have looked in other forums and i haven't found anything on builds for this plane.....i think the .82 would be a good match but what do i know i can't even make sense of the instructions.

If i find anything out i'll let you know but it looks like this will be a winter project with lots of modifications.

I have to admit the build on the wings and control surfaces are excellent, the fuselage is made of fiberglass and has a ugly seem running along the top, i guess i should sand it out and touch up with paint or put a strip over it. If i knew about the instructions before hand i would have passed on it....I think i'm gonna borrow a friends camera just so if anyone is interested in buying one of these, they will have an idea of what to expect.
