Thanks for the comments, I have a 50 watt C02 laser from Emmission technologies. I am no sure of the minimum requirements to cut plexiglass but mine zaps right through it. It nice when I need something made, I just whip it out in CAD and throw it on the laser, sure does beat a scroll saw!
I checked their web site, but could find no mention about the maximum size of wood their kit is able to cut, so I'll ask you.

What's the maximum size of wood their laser kit can cut?
