I'm an aerospace engineering student, and over the next year I plan to design an r/c plane. The plane only has two purposes; it has to fly very fast and carry a small video downlink. A turbine would not fit into my budget, so I'll probably use a large glow powered ducted fan (at least 12lbs of thrust). I fly r/c's, but I don't have any experience with ducted fans. I would very much appreciate any information on calculations, fan units, motors, manufacturers, etc... Thanks
