Default Locking the center diff..

Hello... I have a hyper pbs 8port and I noticed that my front tires are spinning alot more than the back...and i was thinking if my savage diff locker would fit i may put that in there..Im not racing just bashing so if i did lock the center diff how would it perform compared to just leaving it alone? Would i gain or lose anything? They way i kind of see it is it would help out because the power would be distributed alot more equally. Since the front tires are spinning most of the power is transfered to the front and hardly none to the back.. When you take off the weight is to the rear so if you could have more power to the rear it would hook up alot better...does this seem right? Maybe having a working diff helps alot during racing but im just toying around with it..what do you all think..Thanks!!
