I just bought this plane to get into gas power. I decided to go with a DA 50R for power, the engine is brand new, literally, it was on back order on Chief Aircraft.....Haha. My main questions involve the mounting of the engine. The DA includes a set of aluminum standoff mounts to mount the engine. I was wonder how you guys mounted this motor to the H9 Cap 232 80". I love this plane and cant wait to fly it, just gatta wait a little while because Chief forgot to put my muffler in the box to ship!! The invoice said 50 cc Muffler : DA , shipped and checked off. But guess what no muffler in the box,(no wonder this box was super light!!!) I need as much information/pictures as possible for this plane. Here is basically all the information I need for now.
1.How do you mount the DA 50 to this plane?
2. Do you use optical isolators?
3. What CG position do you reccomend?- i've read 6 1/2 inches for the leading edge but dont know for sure.
4. Dual tank setup or single tank setup?
5. Where would you mount the Ignition on the firewall?
6. Battery for the Ignition?
